Pre-Road Trip Blather.... :)

Okay so it's the monday before I go on my first Cathe Road Trip!!!

I must admit I was totally NOT excited about it for a while there. I was excited when I first signed up but then I got scared and even thought about cancelling!

Thankfully I didn't. I've decided to face my fears head-on!

Now that it's getting super close I am starting to get more excited by the day. I am still extremely nervous about it since I am a very shy person but atleast...

Just a BLAH day....

Nothing fun and exciting to write about today...I did 4DS Bi/Tri and Kickbox core this morning. It was a good work out.

I can't believe the RT is coming up in less then a week now! I'd better get my behind in gear and figure out what I am bringing! I know I won't pack until the last minute but I need to get an idea of what I need to put in the suitcase atleast! LOL

If you are reading this and will going on the August R/T please respond!

So I completed my first training run for my 18 mile race this morning. I did 7 miles around my neighborhood.

I got out there early (before 7am) so it was still cool out. It also stayed overcast for the entire run so I didn't have the sun to deal with. That was nice. It WAS a bit humid though so the sweat was still pourin'!

It was a good run. Nice steady pace. Not too slow or too fast.

I am excited to run this race as it's a new distance for me. I've never...

New Territory

I have decided to give a different type of lower body training a try. I am giong to do all plyo and running hills for my legs. I have heard plyo is great for leaning out the lower half and that's what I need. I am also beginning training for an 18 mile race I am running in October so I'll be running more then usual as well. I'll give it a month and see what happens. If I don't see any results or see negatives then I will go back to weight training. I've done freestyle type rotations and it helped...

Stuff

Well yesterday's work out ended up being the cardios from Drill Max interval style. I had no time for steady state but that took about 45 mins from start to finish so who really needed to do MORE, right?

Today's work out was 4DS Shoulders/Calves/Core weights only plus a 3+ mile run on the TM with Coach Sean whispering in my ear the entire time (cc 3).

I am doing well with the food today. I am really liking the nutrtion software and I'm getting the hang of it quicker...
