I did this workout for the first time today. I`m not sure if i like it or not.

The music in the first segment was identical to the music in the Flow yoga for beginner DVD.

I think i like the last segment the best out of the three, which was the empowerment flow. All three segments had some creative movement which i need to get used to.

I`m not sure if i just need to familiarize myself with the routine but so far i like the Flow yoga for beginner...

Balancing Act

I've always had a problem trying to fit in both yoga and other forms of exercise like Cathe. When i focus on my yoga practice, I neglect other forms of exercise and when i focus on doing more Cathe workouts, my yoga practice suffers.

In the past i've tried various methods in an attempt to find a balance between the two but i haven't found something that has worked long term.

Since May, I've been focusing on doing Cathe workouts and as a result my yoga practice has suffered....

According to the teachings of my Guru, there are five points that make a complete yoga practice:

-Proper Relaxation
-Proper Breathing
-Proper Exercise
-Proper Diet
-Positive Thinking & Meditation

All of these aspects work together to bring out the maximum benefits of your yoga practice. If you ignore one and or focus only on one area your practice is not balanced and you won't progress as fast or reap the full benefits.

I want a Namaste body

Since i started adding in more cardio on yoga days i have been using my Namaste DVD's instead of doing my regular yoga practice.

I really like this series and i love the bodies of the cast members. They are all very lean and toned. That's the kind of body i want to have.

I'm focusing on high rep/low weight workouts to tone and tighten up but i really need to add more cardio in to lose some body fat. I really need to get my act together with my food consumption as well...
