My Experience with STS

A little intro: I have been working out to Cathe’s videos since 2001. My first workout was CTX Kickbox. I became instantly addicted to Cathe’s tough workouts and her unique style.

I first tried STS in summer 2009, but made excuses for not finishing and gave up after Meso 2 because I figured I'd wait for the STS tower to get delivered. Then I tried STS again in summer 2010 and actually finished! I found Meso 1 very hard to keep up with my first time due to the quick equipment changes,...

Meso 2, Week 3

Well, I've been too tired to blog with this hypertrophy phase! I just got done with the double wave and last week the back off sets were pretty tough too. I have definitely noticed my strength coming out. I usually have a problem with holding planks because I have weak shoulders, but lately, I've been really surprised at how long and how strong I've been doing plank work! Talk about being proud and feeling the difference!

I'm really excited for the tower to get here! I'm hoping...

Starting Meso 2

I started Meso 2 yesterday, a day early in the week because I have an appointment that will prevent me from working out on Tuesday (planning ahead is good). But also because I didn't do much this last week, some yoga pretty much. I had kind of a bad week anyways. DS got sick. DH worked overtime a lot. I have to be able to watch my show SYTYCD. But now I'm back on track with working out and it feels good. Not so much with eating clean. Again, bad week translates to "I just don't care...

Coming into Week 3 of STS

2 weeks of STS done and WOW! I'm already feeling slightly stronger and leaner. I'm also trying to eat clean but I kind of blew it over the holiday weekend. Last night at the 4th of July festivities, I had some wine, beer, hot dog and FUNNEL CAKE! EEK! It was so yummy though. Tonight I had a brownie and I can feel the sugar slugging me down. I WILL TRY to get back on track tomorrow.

TIME for a Break!

Yeah! I've finally made it through the first week of STS and I really like it! I've been doing the cardio rotation too. It's been kind of rough finding that extra hour and a half each week to work out 6 days, when I'm used to only working out 5 days week. Time sure does fly by during the STS workout though! I have been feeling some DOMS, especially the day after the STS workout, but I do my best to really stretch after each workout to help. I also did some yoga one night this week before bed...another...
