Tuesday - Rest Day

Posted 03-11-2009 at 12:23 PM by Beth F
This will be brief (I promise! ) since Tuesday was a scheduled rest day.

Stretched with the stability ball routine from Stretch Max. It was my first time through the ball routine, and I loved it! The stretches felt just a little different - in a good way - especially for the upper body. I go to the resistance band stretch when I want a good lower body stretch. Will be using the stability ball when I need a good upper body stretch.

Followed that with some ab work, since I didn't get it in on Monday. Pulled out Butts & Guts, and did the 14 minute ab section.

After than, a little more stretching, and that was it.

Tonight is Disc #9 - Legs. Looking forward to most of the new moves. Not the added plate work, though. They stick (), especially when there are drops of sweat on the floor. I like the idea behind them, and really like how I can go deeper into the move, when the darned things actually glide. I'd like to try some of the gizmo's on the market, but don't want to spend money on something that won't work. I've even thought about waxing up the floor, but that would be disasterous and painful when I'm doing other workouts. I see myself doing lateral hops, or playing speed skater and suddenly, I'm Charlie Brown, trying to kick a football...AAAARRRRGHHHHHH!!! It ain't pretty.

I don't know if this would help or not, but I use an old washrag instead of a paper plate. It's worked really well for me.
