Meso 3: 1 week down, 3 to go

Alrighty! Friday wound up being a rest day. Did the Shoulders, Biceps & Triceps workout on Saturday. Went much better than expected. Had to figure out target weights as I went, and did a decent job of it. Pleasantly surprised at how heavy I could go on Standing Barbell Front Presses. Those gave me fits in earlier Meso's. I'm sure they'll still be tough next time through STS, but I do feel like I've made gains.

Triceps were a pleasant surprise. Was able to bump up the weight on some exercises, like Seated Overhead Extensions and Flat Bench Tricep Extensions.

I was concerned I'd be bored, but the way the workout is structured that wasn't an issue. Problems arise when the workout focuses on one area exclusively before moving on to the next. Cycling through gives enough variety that the workout goes by quickly.

Followed up with some ab work.

Went back downstairs in the evening and put in 2.5 miles on the treadmill at a moderate pace. Followed up with a good stretch.

Yesterday (Sunday) was supposed to by Plyo Legs. Somehow I tweaked my knee during the first or second exercise (squats or jump up/down). Wasn't anything sudden, so I'm not sure where or how I managed it. When I went to do forward lunges it was starting to throb. Tried to work through it, but it was only getting worse. Defeated, and extremely pissed off (), I hobbled upstairs and iced it down for a good half hour.

It's still achy today. Back & Chest is on tap for tonight, which won't be a problem. Knee injuries are almost as frustrating as groin injuries. They can be so touchy, and take a long time to heal. Still pisses me off.
