Active Recovery Plan

I'll finish up week #8 as follows:
  • Thursday (today): KickMax?
  • Friday: Disc #11 (Back & Triceps) + Abs
  • Saturday: Plyo Legs (Want to sneak in one more leg workout before active recovery begins)
  • Sunday: Cardio (Texas @12:30) - 90 minutes. This is also the day I'll take measurements & photos for the first time since starting STS.
Then, for an active recovery, my tentative plan is this:
  • Monday: Yoga or StretchMax (ball) + Abs
  • Tuesday: Cardio (Steady State or

Week #8 - Disc #12 - Legs

One the whole, a decent workout. Just read through the entry detailing my first time through Disc #12, and note that I was feeling closer to 100% last night. (I don't think I'm ever feeling 100%. Not even sure what it would feel like.) Although I didn't realize it at the time, I increased the weight by a pound or two for the exercises I felt I wimped out on last week.

Went up to 17.5 lbs from 15 lbs, plus the 10 lb vest, for Same Leg Front Lunges. Used my step on an incline...

Week #8 -- Finishing up Meso #1

Disc #10 - Chest, Shoulders & Biceps

Last night was my second time through Disc #10. My shoulders felt really strong, which is a first. For the most part, I was able to focus on the appropriate muscles, and not overdo it in my traps. Maybe that's why my shoulders felt stronger? Ya think?! It surprises me a little, because going into the workout I wasn't terribly motivated or focused. Did ok, overall, but there were moves where it just felt "off"....

Finishing up Week #7

I've been meaning to update my blog before now, but just haven't found the ambition. Of course I've already forgotten details from my Friday workout. Didn't write many comments on my workout card. Just "SOLID" at the end.

Disc #11 - Back and Triceps

Stuck with my target weights for most exercises. Only dropped back on Barbell Rows with the overhand grip (lifted 50 lbs when the target was 54 lbs). Felt stronger all around, but especially in the triceps....

Week #7 - Legs

Tuesday was a low impact day. Spent a little over 30 minutes on the treadmill, going 1.5 miles. Mentally, I wanted to push myself harder. Physically, my body - especially my knees - weren't having any of it. Then pulled out StretchMax and did the stability ball routine. Felt wonderful in shoulders & lats.

Yesterday was supposed to be legs. Don't know what I ate or drank, but about mid-day I was feeling nauseous. Seriously nauseous. DH ran me home, and I spent the afternoon...
