Overtrain? Me? Guilty!!

My energy and motivation are still lacking, but I finally figured out the cause. Overtraining. Swore I wouldn't, but I'm pretty sure I did. (Actually, I figured this out at least a week ago, but haven't wanted to admit it. )

Finishing up Meso #2

This will probably be my last week of Meso #2. I'm going to see how I feel at the end of the week before deciding whether to spend a third week of #22, 23 & 24, or forge ahead.

Worked through STS Disc #22, Chest, Shoulders & Triceps, for the second time on Monday. Went much better than the first time through. Stuck close to my target weights, and didn't have to stop a third of the way through.

Chest work went well. Incline Bench Presses were tough. Failed...

STS Week in Review

Man, what a long, lousy week. Energy and motivation were seriously lacking. While I did get in most of my STS workouts (more in a minute), I didn't do much beyond them.

STS Disc #22 - Chest, Shoulders & Triceps

STS #21 Back & Biceps

Second time through #21. Felt strong & focused throughout, so it was a productive workout.

Used the medium tension band for all of the back warmups. Previously, I'd use the medium for lat pulldowns, then switched to the lighter one for T's & Y's. Level 5 for all pull ups & chinups. Nice to see evidence of increased strength.

Stuck with target weights throughout the workout....

STS Meso 2 / Disc 20 - Legs

I completed Disc 20 for the second time on Wed. Went much better than the previous week, but then I'm feeling much better than last week.

Every time I do a legs workout, I kick myself for not doing more of the 1RM testing for lower body. I don't think I'm wimping out or anything, but I've grown to rely on the 1RM data as benchmarks and/or goals. While there is still some trepidation about lifting target weights for upper body moves (e.g., I'm supposed to deadlift how much?!?!...
