Meso #1 - Disc #9 - Legs

First of all, THANK YOU, PETRAMOM!! I used a couple of old wash clothes, instead of paper plates, and they worked like a charm.

Overall, a decent workout. Used barbell for all deadlifts, and have decided to continue that way for the duration of STS. I'm able to focus on the right muscles with the barbell. DB is hard on my upper body. Used 60 lbs (basically doubled DB target weight), and figured out later that, based on my 1 RM for the...

Tuesday - Rest Day

This will be brief (I promise! ) since Tuesday was a scheduled rest day.

Stretched with the stability ball routine from Stretch Max. It was my first time through the ball routine, and I loved it! The stretches felt just a little different - in a good way - especially for the upper body. I go to the resistance band stretch when I want a good lower body stretch. Will be using the stability ball when I need a good upper body stretch.

Meso #1 - STS Disc #7 - Chest, Shoulders & Biceps

I always try to scribble a few notes right after finishing up, so I capture my initial reactions to the workout. My first comment after experiencing Disc #7 for the first time: "Kickups pushed my butt." Hmmm. I guess so!

Weekend update

Just a quick update to close out week #4.

Saturday was a rest day.

Sunday, I went little crazy and put in nearly 2.5 hours. First, STS Disc #29 - Plyo Legs. Kept weight light, and really focused on the plyo side of the workout. What a blast! Absolutely loved the workout, especially all of the plyo moves using the higher step (12 or 14 inches - I need to measure mine). Managed them all without any stumbles to wipeouts. That's a major accomplishment right...

Wrapping up week #4

Thursday was kickbox day. Went with Kick Max, and had good, solid, sweaty workout. Did the entire workout, and was able to really attack the bootcamp challenge. I love working hard on those. The drills were painful. As usual, I couldn't keep my legs very high for very long. Overall, I noticed definite improvement in both strength and endurance. Love it!!
