Rest Day without the rest

Rest day.....from workouts, that is. It's ANYTHING but a restful day. Painted the bathroom (which took a few hours in all), hit Target for painting tape so I could finish this job, then cut the grass and re-installed the bathroom mirror.

Today's journalled food:
8:30am 3 egg whites, 1/2 ww pita
10:45am 4egg whites and 1/3 C Bob's Red Mill in a pancake
12:30pm Organic Spring garden salad mix, 1T EVOO, 1 T balsamic vinegar, 1 wedge LC cheese, 3 oz sliced chicken...

CCPP today, and I had originally planned to do it on the stationary bike to rest my legs and PF from Thursday's horrible long run. But I woke up this AM and felt pretty good so I ran on the TM with CCPP. I felt AWESOME the entire time! I even added on the 3rd Challenge for extra on the end.....logged over 7.25 miles and then the Extended Stretch from STS and felt great!!!!!!!!!!

Today's journalled food:
8:30am Myoplex Lite shake with L-Glutamine
10:45am 3 egg whites...

What a relief!!!

AH! My legs feel so much better today. All day yesterday after that HORrible long run, I was achy and tired and grumpy and SORE! This morning was so much better. That gives me hope for my next long run!!!

This morning's workout was:
BFL upper body (like visiting an old friend)
Core Max 1
Extended Stretch from STS (and MAN did I need that stretch)

Journalled food for today:
8:30am Myoplex Lite shake with L-Glutamine
10:30am 3 egg...

DOMS in lower body are a bit better.
Today's workout is my 9 mile long run....planning on hitting the trail after kids go to Rec. I'm a bit afraid of running on that trail to the 4.5 mile mark alone, so I'll go to the 2 mile marker, return, repeat, then add 1 mile on. It feels 'safer' to me to stay closer to the parking lot and beginning...
