Default workouts that burn sugar and not fat?

Hey Cathe
I recently read something in a weight loss book that I have a question about. The author of this book said aerobics such as step, the elliptical, kickboxing, and other aerobics like these just burn sugar and not fat. The author said basically the only workouts that burn fat are walking, jogging, running, and the stationary bike. Have you heard anything like this?
