Very well put Kathy! The ankle weights are not suited for that. In addition to being unsafe they would probably bounce all over the place the second you moved and drive you crazy. If you don't mind spending the money, a weighted vest is a terrific investment. I bought one and love it. It is especially good for moves like those on Circuit Max--like squats with shoulder work. You get extra weight for the legs which can take it while still being able to use light weights for the shoulders. I also use it in FIRM videos as well during plyometric drills and some of the slower four-limbed aerobic moves. I bought mine from Reebok.
