Default RE: Did anyone else have this?

It's hard when you feel sick and tired, or if only certain foods taste good to you, and they aren't exactly healthy ones! Sometimes the early weight gain is (at least partially) water related. Your body is still getting used to a whole new set of hormones, and that can cause some water retention (kind of like TTOM, only worse) Bad food choices can add to that, too, though, so the less damage you can do with that, the better.

For me, it helped to avoid salty foods, and anything that might make the water retention worse. It seemed to get better after 14 weeks or so, but I still have to be careful with salt. You can try making sure you're drinking as much water as you can handle. That helps flush everything out. That might help with sickness, too.

You can ask your doctor for some tips, too. They might be able to refer you to a nutritionist or something. (I know my group has this, but don't know if it's a common thing or not.)

Don't worry - you will feel better! ;-) It may not be tomorrow, but it will happen. You just have to take it one day at a time and do the best you can. Hang in there!
