RE: Crying time?

When was she able to fall asleep in her crib? I don't mind nursing him to sleep, or even cuddling him when he's sleeping...but then when I try to put him in his crib (when he's completely out sleeping) he wakes up shortly after crying. I"m wondering if I should let him cry for a few minutes to see if he can go back to sleep at this point? There's so many theories. Just wondering what worked for you guys?
