Almost showtime! The day begins at 4:30 am. After 3 weeks of rehearsals everyone is anxious to get started, but first it's hair and makeup time.

While this is going on the camera crew and engineers are getting everything ready on the set.

Cathe makes some last minute adjustments and the sound technician installs the microphone and transmitter on Cathe. After the engineers run some sound checks - it's show time! If You have wondered what that hump is on Cathe's upper back...it's the microphone transmitter. Cathe gets ready to film
The Set for Step Works and BodyMax If you think it's tough doing a Cathe video at home... just imagine what it   is like under 100,000 watts of lights in the middle of the summer! Temperatures can reach over 100 degrees on the set.
Our videos are filmed in state-of -the -art facilities just outside of Philadelphia. We use the most modern and best cameras available.

Once filming is completed all that is left to do is edit each video. We use a digital editing system which greatly reduces the time it takes to edit a video. All of our videos are now recorded on digital tape.

Video covers are now designed by our own graphics arts company (GTM Graphics) at least a month in advance, so that when we are done editing we can send the videos directly to the tape duplicator.

Step Works is the typical advanced-all-step- workout that Cathe is so famous for. If you are looking for new, fun and challenging choreography... you will love this video. Step Works starts with an upbeat mini step warm-up complete with stretches to prepare you for the workout.
Segment One moves quickly with a medley mix of familiar moves used from previous videos but rearranged in new patterns to give them a refreshing twist.  Segment two and three both contain new cutting edge choreography.
Each of these segments feature a more complex combination followed by a basic power combination to keep both the interest level and the heart rate elevated.  The step cooldown is more dance/funk oriented.  It is thoroughly broken down for you to have fun with.  The workout concludes with soothing hit music to let your mind and body free itself of all tension.

BodyMax (19.95 + s/h, 91 minutes) is a completely different type of workout with the emphasis on aerobics and endurance. 
A step, barbell and various dumbbells are used in this workout.
BodyMax  is a Video Fitness Hall of Fame video and was awarded 5 starts by Fit magazine. This extra long video (91 min.) is one of our best selling videos.
This cross-training workout begins with 24 minutes of simple but intense step aerobics.
The circuit section in the middle of the workout , is approx. 20 min in length and will provide you with a "shock your metabolism" effect since it consists of 5 cycles - each one moving quickly from high intensity step - to plyo step - to a very brief recovery and immediately into leg work with weights.)
The third section is approx. 20 min. in length and provides an all-out-non stop- upper body-weight workout that is similar in style to "Maximum Intensity Strength", however, the focus is on endurance and the rest periods are shorter. And finally, if you have survived this far, Cathe will take you through a 7 min. killer ab routine.
The workout concludes with a relaxing stretch and features beautiful new age music which seems to encourage the  release of any and all tension in the body/mind.
